 The duration depends on the size and complexity of the vessel. A standard pre-purchase boat and engine survey typically takes a full day on-site. Following the physical inspection, I provide a detailed, digital report—usually within 24 to 48 hours—so you can move forward with your maritime decisions quickly. 

A Pre-Purchase Survey is the most comprehensive inspection I offer, designed for someone buying a boat. It covers operational testing of all systems, structural integrity, and safety equipment. A Condition & Valuation (C&V) Survey is typically more concise and is used by insurance companies or lenders to determine the boat's fair market value and ensure it meets basic safety standards.

While not required, I highly encourage my clients to attend at least the final portion of the inspection. This allows me to walk you through my findings in real-time, explain the operation of specific onboard systems, and answer any immediate questions you have about the vessel's condition.
